AN ACT
amending Title 40, chapter 2, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 40-210; relating to regulation by the corporation commission.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 40, chapter 2, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 40-210, to read:
40-210. Contractors; requirements; prohibition; definition
A. The commission shall not require a contractor to fulfill any requirements other than those for licensure by the registrar of contractors in order for the contractor to qualify to provide services under any commission approved rebate or other pricing program offered by a public service corporation. The commission shall not require a contractor at any time to:
1. Join any trade association or other membership organization.
2. Pay dues to any trade association or other membership organization.
3. Take any continuing education class not otherwise required by the registrar of contractors to maintain the contractor's license.
B. For the purposes of this section, "contractor" has the same meaning prescribed in section 32‑1101.
