on the death of sandra doty.

(TEXT OF BILL BEGINS ON NEXT PAGE)

Sandra Louise Doty passed away on April 8, 2010 at the age of sixty‑nine.

Born on March 5, 1941 in Washington, D.C., Sandy Doty lived her life devoted to her family and her deeply rooted values of conservatism and duty. She married Quetzal in 1963 and together they raised five children. The family moved frequently, living in such places as Australia, Nigeria, Lebanon, Ghana, Japan, Germany and Tanzania before settling in San Francisco and eventually retiring to Chandler, Arizona. In 1991, Sandy received a bachelor's degree from Phoenix College and was hired by the Central Intelligence Agency, requiring her family to move to Virginia. After her retirement from this post, the family again retired to Chandler.

Sandy was devoted to her family and spent a great deal of time with her nine grandchildren.  She also gave freely of her time and energy to various community organizations and was a tireless advocate for the conservative movement.  In her endeavors as a wife, mother, employee, volunteer and citizen, Sandy showed exceptional dedication, integrity and kindness and was committed to bettering the world around her.

Sandy Doty will be greatly missed by her husband of forty-seven years, Quetzal, her children, Lauren, Craig, Kevin, Michelle and Kristal, her grandchildren and her many friends.

Therefore

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of Arizona, the Senate concurring:

That the Members of the Legislature express regret at the passing of Sandy Doty and extend their deepest sympathies to her family and friends.
