AN ACT
amending title 41, chapter 4, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding article 5.1; relating to outsourcing of state service positions.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 41, chapter 4, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding article 5.1, to read:
ARTICLE 5.1. OUTSOURCING OF STATE SERVICE POSITIONS
41-779. Outsourcing of state service positions; prohibition; definition
A. A state agency, board, commission or department shall not enter into any agreement or perform any act that results in a state service position being directly or indirectly established or transferred outside of the United States.
B. For the purposes of this section, "state service position" means any office or position of employment in state government and includes A contractual employment relationship.
