AN ACT
Amending title 20, chapter 4, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 20‑847; amending title 20, chapter 4, article 7, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 20‑1020; relating to dental contracts.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 20, chapter 4, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 20-847, to read:
20-847. Contracts; dentists; covered services; definition
A. A contract between a dental service corporation and a dentist who is licensed to practice in this state shall not require that a dentist provide services to patients who are subscribers under a subscription contract at a fee set by the dental service corporation unless the service for which the fee is set is a covered service under the subscription contract.
B. For the purposes of this section, "covered service" means a service that is actually reimbursed under the applicable subscription contract.
Sec. 2. Title 20, chapter 4, article 7, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 20-1020, to read:
20-1020. Contracts; dentists; covered services; definition
A. A contract between a prepaid dental plan organization and a dentist who is licensed to practice in this state shall not require that a dentist provide services to patients who are members of a prepaid dental plan at a fee set by the prepaid dental plan organization unless the service for which the fee is set is a covered service under the prepaid dental plan.
B. For the purposes of this section, "covered service" means a service that is actually reimbursed under the applicable prepaid dental plan.
