AN ACT

 

Amending title 36, chapter 5, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 36-503.04; relating to the department of health services.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 36, chapter 5, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 36-503.04, to read:

START_STATUTE36-503.04.  Reporting potentially dangerous individuals; telephone number

A.  The department shall establish a toll-free telephone number that is accessible on a twenty-four hour, seven days a week basis to receive reports of disruptive behavior pursuant to this section.  The telephone number shall connect the caller to the appropriate regional behavioral health authority crisis team, which shall evaluate the information received and take appropriate action. 

B.  An employer, supervisor, administrator, teacher or professor shall report to the toll‑free telephone number disruptive behavior of an employee or student if the employer, supervisor, administrator, teacher or professor believes that the disruptive behavior of the employee or student might be a danger to self or others.
