amending title 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding chapter 7; relating to regional planning agencies.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding chapter 7, to read:

CHAPTER 7

REGIONAL PLANNING AGENCIES

ARTICLE 1.  GENERAL PROVISIONS

START_STATUTE1-701.  Regional planning agencies; membership

Notwithstanding any other law, a regional council of governments or a regional planning agency established pursuant to a joint exercise of powers agreement must include members who represent both of the following:

1.  Communities that are unincorporated but that are census tracked.

2.  The private sector. END_STATUTE
