AN ACT

 

Amending title 40, chapter 2, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 40‑211; relating to collect calls.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 40, chapter 2, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 40-211, to read:

START_STATUTE40-211.  Telecommunications corporations; collect call rates; notification

A telecommunications corporation that provides telephone service shall provide an oral rate disclosure to both the party initiating a collect call and the party responsible for the payment of the call.  The rate disclosure shall occur before the party responsible for the payment of the collect call accepts the call.END_STATUTE
