A RESOLUTION
honoring bill timmons and hacienda healthcare for their outstanding service to the long-term care industry.
(TEXT OF BILL BEGINS ON NEXT PAGE)
Whereas, Hacienda HealthCare was established as a single program serving three developmentally disabled children with one employee. Over the last 22 years, the Board of Directors and President and Chief Executive Officer, Bill Timmons, have been approached numerous times to address unmet community needs or to develop new programs that could better serve the community. Today Hacienda HealthCare is a diversified nonprofit health care delivery system whose 569 employees provide care to more than 1,200 infants, children and young adults statewide every day; and
Whereas, Hacienda HealthCare designed, operated and staffed Arizona's only skilled nursing facility to care for Arizona's young patients. The Board of Directors and Bill Timmons responded affirmatively to a request for help when they learned that several young children were being cared for in traditional geriatric-oriented skilled nursing facilities. To meet this need, the Board of Directors and Bill Timmons developed a new model of skilled nursing facility care, and six months later Arizona's first and-to date-only young patient-oriented skilled nursing facility was established; and
Whereas, since its inception, Hacienda HealthCare's skilled nursing facility has repeatedly received accolades from regulatory agencies, physicians, parents and advocacy organizations. This facility received recognition from the American Health Care Association in Washington, D.C. on achieving a four-star rating on its most recent standard survey, a significant accomplishment in the long-term care industry; and
Whereas, through its pursuit of perfection, Hacienda HealthCare has become a highly respected health care provider, and the exceptional professionalism, compassion and love that its dedicated employees and President, Bill Timmons have consistently shown for the facility's patients and their families is worthy of emulation by other facilities in the entire long-term care industry.
Therefore
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of Arizona:
That the Members of the House of Representatives extend congratulations to Bill Timmons and Hacienda HealthCare on achieving a remarkable record of service to the long-term care industry.
