            The Crandell Floor Amendment provides permissive authority to enforce the provisions of the wildlife habitat protection statutes and requires peace officers of this state and counties, cities or towns and other duly authorized state employees to enforce off-highway vehicle statutes only on land under the jurisdiction of this state or a county, city or town.

Page 1, between lines 1 and 2 insert:

"Section 1.  Section 17-457, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

17‑45717-457.  Enforcement of article

All peace officers of the state, counties and municipalities and other duly authorized state and federal employees shall may enforce the provisions of this article.

Sec. 2.  Section 28-1173, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

28-117328-1173.  Enforcement

All peace officers of this state and counties, cities or towns municipalities of this state and other duly authorized state and federal employees shall enforce this article only on land that is solely under the jurisdiction of this state or a county or municipality of this state."
