FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION

 

 

Authorizes a school employee, rather than a teacher or administrator, to possess a concealed weapon on the property of an educational institution.

 

Specifies a handgun, pistol or revolver rather than a firearm.

 

Requires a retired peace officer to possess a certificate of firearms proficiency to posses a concealed firearm.
