AN ACT

 

providing for a special audit of voter protected measures.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Voter protected measures; special audit

A.  The auditor general shall conduct a special audit pursuant to section 41‑1279.03, Arizona Revised Statutes, to evaluate the costs of each measure that is voter protected pursuant to article IV, part 1, section 1, Constitution of Arizona.  The audit shall examine the costs of each measure from the date of the enactment to the present date.

B.  On or before August 15, 2014, the auditor general shall submit copies of the special audit to the governor, the president of the senate and the speaker of the house of representatives and provide a copy of this report to the secretary of state.
