AN ACT
Title 38, chapter 3, article 4, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 38-451; relating to official acts.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 38, chapter 3, article 4, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 38-451, to read:
38-451. Public monies; prohibited uses; gun control
A public officer or the officer's employees shall not use public monies, or cause public monies to be used, for any of the following:
1. Publicity or propaganda purposes or for the preparation, distribution or use of any kit, pamphlet, booklet, publication, electronic communication or radio, television or video presentation designed to support or defeat the enactment of legislation or an ordinance, rule, regulation or administrative action.
2. To pay the salary or expenses of any grant or contract recipient, or agent acting on behalf of the recipient, if the grant or contract is related to any activity designed to influence the enactment of legislation or an ordinance, rule, regulation or administrative action.
3. To advocate or promote any proposed, pending or future federal, state or local tax increase, or any proposed, pending or future requirement or restriction on any legal consumer product, including the sale and marketing of the legal consumer product. This paragraph applies to the advocacy or promotion of gun control.
