AN ACT
amending title 41, chapter 2, article 2, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 41‑333; relating to Notaries public.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 41, chapter 2, article 2, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 41-333, to read:
41-333. Impersonation of notary public; violation; classification; investigation
A. Any person who acts as or otherwise intentionally impersonates a notary public while not lawfully appointed and commissioned to perform notarial acts is guilty of a class 2 misdemeanor.
B. On receipt of a written complaint, the attorney general or the county attorney in the county in which the alleged violation occurred may investigate the alleged violation of this section.
