SENATE AMENDMENTS TO H.B. 2147
(Reference to House engrossed bill)
Page 1, between lines 18 and 19, insert:
"d. if the employer fails to provide information to the department within the time frames specified by the department, the employer shall forfeit any appeal rights otherwise available pursuant to this chapter."
Page 2, line 4, after the period insert "except as provided for in subsection G of this section,"
Strike lines 33 through 36, insert:
"g. any person who, by reason other than fraud, receives benefits under this chapter to which the person is not entitled as a result of an employer's failure to respond to a claim within the time frame provided by the department is not liable for the repayment of those benefits to the department on behalf of the unemployment compensation fund or to have those benefits deducted from any future payments payable to the person under this chapter."
