AN ACT
amending title 16, chapter 1, article 5, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 16-166.01; relating to REGISTRATION rolls.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Subject to the requirements of article IV, part 1, section 1, Constitution of Arizona, title 16, chapter 1, article 5, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 16-166.01, to read:
16-166.01. Federal voter registration forms; additional requirements prohibited
Notwithstanding section 16-166, The county recorder shall register voters who use federal forms for voter registration, including use of those forms for changing voter registration from one county to another county, if those forms comply with the national voter registration act of 1993 (P.L. 103-31; 42 United States Code section 1973gg-7(a)(2)), and may not require as a condition of registration that the registrant provide information or documentation that is not required by the National voter registration act of 1993 (P.L. 103-31).
Sec. 2. Requirements for enactment; three-fourths vote
Pursuant to article IV, part 1, section 1, Constitution of Arizona, section 16‑166.01, Arizona Revised Statutes, as added by this act, is effective only on the affirmative vote of at least three‑fourths of the members of each house of the legislature.
