AN ACT
amending title 12, chapter 5, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 12‑558.02; relating to civil liability.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 12, chapter 5, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 12-558.02, to read:
12-558.02. Limited liability; search and rescue operation personnel
A person who is a member of an organized search and rescue team, unit or organization who acts gratuitously and in good faith and is involved in a search and rescue operation is not liable for any civil or other damages as a result of any act, omission or failure to act to provide or arrange for further medical treatment or care for an injured person during a search and rescue operation unless the person acts with gross negligence.
