AN ACT
Amending Title 9, chapter 4, article 8, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 9-500.34; Amending title 11, chapter 2, article 4, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 11-269.13; relating to municipal and county ordinances.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 9, chapter 4, article 8, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 9-500.34, to read:
9-500.34. Prohibition on business security requirements
A municipality may not adopt an ordinance that requires a business to comply with specific security requirements, including the installation of security cameras or security lights, based on the size of the business, the type of the business or the number of calls the business made to law enforcement per year. For the purposes of this section, business does not include a bar or restaurant.
Sec. 2. Title 11, chapter 2, article 4, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 11-269.13, to read:
11-269.13. Prohibition on business security requirements
A board of supervisors may not adopt an ordinance or resolution that requires a business to comply with specific security requirements, including the installation of security cameras or security lights, based on the size of the business, the type of the business or the number of calls the business made to law enforcement per year. For the purposes of this section, business does not include a bar or restaurant.
