AN ACT
Amending title 36, chapter 29, article 2, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 36-2960; making an appropriation; relating to the Arizona long‑term care system.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 36, chapter 29, article 2, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 36-2960, to read:
36-2960. Persons with developmental disabilities; cost‑effective study rate; report
The department shall annually determine the cost‑effective study rate for persons receiving developmental disability services pursuant to chapter 5.1 of this title and provide that rate to the Arizona health care cost containment system administration. On or before June 15 of each year, the department shall report to the joint legislative budget committee the cost‑effective study rate for persons receiving developmental disability services that was determined for the subsequent fiscal year.
Sec. 2. Appropriation; department of economic security; developmental disability services
Notwithstanding section 23-705, Arizona Revised Statutes, the sum of $120,000 is appropriated from the special administration fund established by section 23-705, Arizona Revised Statutes, in fiscal year 2015-2016 to the department of economic security to provide services for persons with developmental disabilities whose services were reduced under the current cost‑effective study rate as a result of the fiscal year 2014-2015 legislatively mandated provider rate increases.
