HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AMENDMENTS TO H.B. 2498

Strike everything after the enacting clause and insert:
"Section 1. State department of corrections; annual report; use of solitary confinement; delayed repeal
A. On or before January 1, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, the state department of corrections shall submit a report to the speaker of the house of representatives, the president of the senate and the governor on the department's compliance over the previous year with the stipulated agreement in Parsons v. Ryan, CV12‑00601‑PHX‑DJH. The department shall determine the format of the report.
B. The report shall include information on the department's average rate of compliance with the performance measures required by exhibit D of the stipulated agreement in Parsons v. Ryan, CV12‑00601‑PHX‑DJH.
C. This section is repealed from and after December 31, 2019."
