SENATE AMENDMENTS TO S.B. 1011

Strike everything after the enacting clause and insert:

“ Section 1.  Section 32-1697, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

START_STATUTE32-1697.  Violations; classification

A.  The practice of optical dispensing or operation of an optical establishment without a valid and subsisting license is a class 2 misdemeanor. END_STATUTE

B.   except as provided in section 32-1691, dispensing cosmetic contact lenses without a valid license is a class 6 felony. for the purposes of this subsection, “cosmetic contact lenses” means decorative contact lenses, with or without refractive value, used for the primary purpose of changing the appearance of the eye.”

Amend title to conform
