Bill Number: H.B. 2415
Quezada Floor Amendment
Reference to: JUD Committee amendment
Amendment drafted by: Lisette Flores
FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
The Quezada Floor Amendment restores campaign contribution limits from statute, accounting for the combination of primary election and general election funding in the bill. It subjects partnerships to the same campaign contribution limits as individuals. It also clarifies that, when partnership contributions are subject to individual limits, it is on the basis of a partner’s share of the financial contribution. It restores the requirement that contributions from partnership funds must be made in the name of the individual partners. It also strikes the retroactivity and applicability clauses.
