FLOOR AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
Specifies a school district or charter school may adopt a visitor policy.
Defines all persons as employees or agents of service providers, vendors, technicians, contractors and subcontractors.
Specifies a school district or charter school with an existing visitor policy are not required to adopt a new policy.

Line 5, strike “PUBLIC”; after “SCHOOL” insert “DISTRICT OR CHARTER SCHOOL”
Line 11, strike “OUTER”; after the period insert “FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS SUBSECTION, “all persons” means all employees or agents of service providers, vendors, technicians, contractors and subcontractors.”
Between lines 14 and 15, insert:
“C. IF A SCHOOL DISTRICT OR CHARTER SCHOOL HAS ADOPTED A POLICY BEFORE THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS SECTION REGARDING VISITORS WHO ENTER THE SCHOOL PROPERTY, THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OR CHARTER SCHOOL IS NOT REQUIRED TO ADOPT A NEW POLICY AS A RESULT OF THIS SECTION.”
