AN ACT

 

appropriating monies to the department of water resources.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Appropriation; department of water resources; city of Buckeye; salt cedar removal

A.  The sum of $200,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2016-2017 to the department of water resources for distribution to the city of Buckeye for payment of costs incurred by the city of Buckeye for research and studies associated with acquiring federal and state permits for the removal of salt cedar trees from the Gila river.

B.  The appropriation made in subsection A of this section is exempt from the provisions of section 35-190, Arizona Revised Statutes, relating to lapsing of appropriations.
