AN ACT
Amending title 38, chapter 8, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 38‑1116; relating to law enforcement officers.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 38, chapter 8, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 38-1116, to read:
38-1116. Law enforcement officers; discipline; prohibited use of statements
Notwithstanding any other law, a statement that is made by a law enforcement officer in an investigative interview in regard to a use of force incident or an accident involving the officer that resulted in physical injury and that was video recorded by the law enforcement officer may not be the sole factual basis to impose discipline against the law enforcement officer unless the law enforcement officer reviewed the video recording before making the statement or making a supplement to the statement.
