1.    Requires the Board of Supervisors to obtain the written request of the Regional Planning Agency in order to hold the reauthorization election of a county transportation excise tax.

 

2.    Extends the time frame for the reauthorization election from 12 to 62 months before the current tax expires.

 

3.    Requires the reauthorization election to be held on a regularly scheduled countywide general election day.

Line 18, after the comma insert "and at the written request of the regional planning agency,"

Page 3, between lines 2 and 3, insert:

"3.  The election shall be held on a regularly scheduled countywide general election day pursuant to section 16-211."
