1.    Removes the requirement that a noncomplying jurisdiction directly repay the full amount of the misused transportation excise tax monies over a period of not more than 10 fiscal years.

 

2.    Requires the misused monies to instead be repaid immediately as either:

a)      a lump sum; or

b)     in consecutive annual payments of at least 10 percent of the full amount each fiscal year.
