SB 1556 fire districts; noncontiguous county areas

Purpose (For more information see Fact Sheet): Authorizes the formation of a noncontiguous county island fire district (District) consisting of noncontiguous county islands and allows the District to contract with a city or town to provide fire and emergency services. In addition, the bill eliminates the authority to form a county island fire district as enacted by Laws 2006, Chapter 2.
