Purpose (For more information see Fact Sheet): Establishes new claims payment deadlines for the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) contractors, imposes civil penalties on contractors for late payments and makes numerous changes to hospital reimbursement requirements.  Establishes the Hospital Reimbursement Advisory Council to evaluate the hospital reimbursement system.
