HB 2389     misconduct involving weapons; means; transportation

 

Purpose (For more information see Fact Sheet): Allows a person to carry a weapon in a vehicle without a concealed carry permit (CCW) and allows persons who have been convicted of a felony to obtain a CCW permit. Establishes additional penalties for a prohibited possessor and increases the penalty for a person convicted of sexual conduct with a minor.  Modifies the sentencing for a defendant convicted of first degree murder and persons convicted of sexual conduct with a minor.
