1.    Removes the requirement for the Legislature and the Governor to approve an application to withdraw, divert or transport water from Arizona for use in another state. Retains the authority for the Director of the Department of Water Resources (DWR) to approve or reject the application.

 

2.    Requires the Director of DWR to notify the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives when an application is received to withdraw, divert or transport water from this state for use in another state.

 

3.    Makes conforming changes.
