AN ACT
amending Title 15, chapter 1, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 15-118; relating to school policies.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 15, chapter 1, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 15-118, to read:
15-118. Schools; suicide and self‑harm prevention policies
Each school district governing board and each charter school governing body shall adopt policies to prevent student suicide and self‑harm that are based on evidence‑based research. School districts and charter schools may request assistance in formulating these policies from the department of health services, the Arizona health care cost containment system and the department of education.
