AN ACT
Amending title 32, chapter 32, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding article 2.1; relating to health professionals.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 32, chapter 32, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding article 2.1, to read:
ARTICLE 2.1. POST‑TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER THERAPY
32-3236. Definitions
In this article, unless the context otherwise requires:
1. "Eligible patient" means a veteran or other patient who is diagnosed with post‑traumatic stress disorder, trauma, grief or traumatic brain injury.
2. "Health care provider" means a health professional who is trained and licensed to perform PTSD therapy.
3. "PTSD therapy" means a licensed intervention that is taught and licensed to a health care provider to treat and assist eligible patients.
32-3236.01. PTSD therapy; consent; disclosures
An eligible patient may receive PTSD therapy if the patient signs a mutually agreed on treatment plan with a health care provider and consents to treatment after the health care provider makes required disclosures.
