A RESOLUTION
on the death of Reyna Isabel Estrada.
(TEXT OF BILL BEGINS ON NEXT PAGE)
Reyna Isabel Estrada passed away on July 14, 2017 at the age of 15.
Born on October 31, 2001 in Phoenix, Arizona, Reyna packed a great deal of life into her 15 years. A bright student and avid bookworm, Reyna dreamed of becoming an anesthesiologist. Whether participating in a beauty pageant, camping in the forest, playing in the snow, enjoying recreational activities in the desert, vacationing in Hawaii, Mexico, California or Las Vegas, attending a game of her beloved Redskins and Red Sox, swimming with giant turtles in the ocean, singing her favorite karaoke song, "Supersonic," or amusing her family with stories, Reyna lived her life to the fullest and impressed others around her with her intelligence, kindness and humor. She was known for her passion for sports and monster trucks, her long, dark braided hair and her contagious laughter and smile.
On July 14, 2017, Reyna was tragically killed at the hands of her older brother, who suffered from an untreated mental illness. A devoted daughter, sister and friend, Reyna will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Therefore
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of Arizona:
That the Members of the House of Representatives sincerely regret the passing of Reyna Isabel Estrada and extend their sympathies and condolences to her family members and many friends.
