AN ACT
appropriating monies to the governor's office on tribal relations.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Appropriation; governor's office on tribal relations; remedial education; Diné college; report
A. The sum of $1,500,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2018-2019 to the governor's office on tribal relations established by section 41-2051, Arizona Revised Statutes, for distribution to the Diné college board of regents for the remedial education of students who:
1. Graduated from a public high school located in this state.
2. Are enrolled in classes conducted at a Diné college campus located in this state.
B. Before distributing the appropriation made in subsection A of this section, the governor's office on tribal relations must enter into an agreement with the Diné college board of regents that the board will submit a report that analyzes the course completion rate for students who received the remedial education during the 2018-2019 academic year. The Diné college board of regents shall submit the report on or before October 15, 2019 to the governor, the speaker of the house of representatives, the president of the senate and the secretary of state.
