AN ACT
amending title 9, chapter 4, article 8, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 9-500.41; amending Title 11, chapter 2, article 4, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 11-269.20; relating to health insurance.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 9, chapter 4, article 8, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 9-500.41, to read:
9-500.41. Prohibition on mandated provision of health insurance; state preemption
A. A city or town may not require an employer to provide health insurance to the employer's employees.
B. The regulation of health insurance is of statewide concern and not subject to further regulation by a city or town.
Sec. 2. Title 11, chapter 2, article 4, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 11-269.20, to read:
11-269.20. Prohibition on mandated provision of health insurance; state preemption
A. A county may not require an employer to provide health insurance to the employer's employees.
B. The regulation of health insurance is of statewide concern and not subject to further regulation by a county.
