AN ACT

 

appropriating monies to the state universities.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Appropriations; universities; fiscal years 2018‑2019 through 2021-2022; intent

A.  In addition to any other appropriations made, the following amounts are appropriated from the state general fund in the following fiscal years to the following entities:

1.  In fiscal year 2018-2019:

(a)  Arizona state university             $41,558,300

(b)  Northern Arizona university          $15,398,600

(c)  University of Arizona                $20,121,867

2.  In each of fiscal years 2019-2020, 2020-2021 and 2021-2022:

(a)  Arizona state university             $33,636,900

(b)  Northern Arizona university          $12,710,500

(c)  University of Arizona                $16,700,800

B.  It is the intent of the legislature to appropriate sufficient state monies to pay fifty percent of the cost of a university education for students who are residents of this state and to account for growth in future fiscal years.
