AN ACT
amending Title 15, chapter 9, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 15-917; relating to school finance.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Title 15, chapter 9, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 15-917, to read:
15-917. Federal payments in lieu of taxes; fund
Notwithstanding any other law, a local government that receives federal payments in lieu of taxes shall distribute those monies to the school districts where the nontaxable federal lands are located and that generated those federal payments. Each school district that receives monies pursuant to this section shall establish a payments in lieu of taxes fund and may use monies in the fund for any purpose authorized under this title.
