A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Arizona; amending article II, section 34, Constitution of Arizona; amending article XIII, section 5, Constitution of Arizona; relating to municipal corporations.

1. Article II, section 34, Constitution of Arizona, is proposed to be amended as follows if approved by the voters and on proclamation of the Governor:
34. Industrial pursuits by state and municipal corporations
Section 34. The THIS state of Arizona and each municipal corporation within the THIS state of Arizona shall have the right to engage in industrial pursuits THAT SERVE A PUBLIC PURPOSE.
2. Article XIII, section 5, Constitution of Arizona, is proposed to be amended as follows if approved by the voters and on proclamation of the Governor:
5. Right of municipal corporation to engage in business or enterprise
Section 5. except as provided in article ii, section 34, every municipal corporation within this state shall have the right to engage in any business or enterprise which that may be engaged in by a person, firm, or corporation by virtue of a franchise from said municipal corporation.
3. The Secretary of State shall submit this proposition to the voters at the next general election as provided by article XXI, Constitution of Arizona.
