"Sec. 2. Legislative Findings
Sonorasaurus is a genus of brachiosaurid dinosaur from the middle cretaceous era, around one hundred twelve to ninety-three million years ago. They were herbivorous sauropods and are estimated to have been forty-nine feet long and twenty-seven feet tall. They had a very long neck, enabling them to feed on leaves of tall trees, a relatively small head, four legs and long tails. Sonorasaurus fossils were discovered in the Chihuahua desert region of the Sonoran desert in Arizona by geology student Richard Thompson in 1994."
