"Sec. 9.  Applicability

A.  Section 32‑325, subsection B, Arizona Revised Statutes, as amended by this act, applies to only persons who receive an initial barber license from and after December 31, 2018

B.  Section 32-511, paragraph 3, subdivision (a), Arizona Revised Statutes, as amended by this act, applies to only persons who receive an initial cosmetologist license from and after December 31, 2018.

C.  A graduate of a barbering course consisting of at least one thousand five hundred hours of training in a school licensed by title 32, chapter 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, may not transfer any of those one thousand five hundred hours to fulfill the new requirement of one thousand hours prescribed by section 32‑325, subsection B, Arizona Revised Statutes, as amended by this act.

D.  A graduate of a cosmetology course consisting of at least sixteen hundred hours of training in a school licensed by title 32, chapter 5, Arizona Revised Statutes, may not transfer any of those sixteen hundred hours to fulfill the new requirement of one thousand four hundred hours prescribed by section 32-511, paragraph 3, subdivision (a), Arizona Revised Statutes, as amended by this act.

Sec. 10.  Effective date

Sections 32‑325 and 32-511, Arizona Revised Statutes, as amended by this act, are effective from and after December 31, 2018."
