AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
- Appropriates $1.5
million from the General Fund to the Department of Economic Security (DES)
in FY19 for a statewide information and referral service for health care
services, community services, human services and governmental services.
- Allows DES to
provide the statewide information and referral service directly or to
contract with a private entity.
- Requires the
entity providing the statewide information and referral service to employ
211 three-digit dialing access and be accredited through the national
alliance relating to information and referral systems.

Page 71, between lines 37 and 38, insert:
"Sec. 115. Department of economic security; appropriation; statewide
information and referral service; fiscal year 2018‑2019
The sum of
$1,500,000 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2018‑2019
to the department of economic security for a statewide information and referral
service for health care services, community services, human services and governmental
services. The department may provide the statewide information and
referral service directly or may contract with a private entity. The entity
providing the statewide information and referral service shall employ 2‑1‑1
three‑digit dialing access and be accredited through a national alliance
relating to information and referral systems."
