Provisions

1.       Asserts that the Legislature recognizes:

a.       The mental health system exists to benefit patients and protect the public;

b.       Families of a person with mental health issues deserve be treated with respect when seeking care for their family member;

c.        Families have the right to receive help when navigating the mental health system; and

d.       Their responsibility to make the mental health system work.
