Abstract

Relating to payment method for state land.

Provisions

1. Authorizes the Commissioner to approve other forms of payment for the purchase of state land at an auction. (Sec. 1)

2. Makes technical changes. (Sec. 1)

Current Law

On announcement of the successful bidder of state land at an auction, at least 10% but no more than 25% of the appraised value as stated in the auction notice must be paid by cashier's check (A.R.S. § 37-241). State land means any land owned for held in trust, or otherwise, by the state, including leased school or university land (A.R.S. § 37-101).
