Provisions

1.       Clarifies that a DCS IT employee, contractor or subcontractor must have a level I fingerprint clearance card if the employee has access to DCS information as a part of their job duties. (Sec. 1)

Current Law

An IT employee of a contractor or subcontractor must have, or applied for, a level I fingerprint clearance card in order to access DCS information in any state data system. The contractor or subcontractor is responsible for the costs of obtaining the employee's level I fingerprint clearance card and may charge these costs to the fingerprinted employee. DCS may allow the cost of obtaining a level I fingerprint clearance card to be included as an allowable cost in a contract. (A.R.S. § 8-463)
