Provisions

1.       Includes employee leasing firms that contract with a school district in the authority to withhold wages for up to seven business days. (Sec. 1)

Current Law

Employers in Arizona are required to pay employees all wages due on each regular payday. Generally, wages other than overtime may be withheld for up to five days, except that school districts may withhold wages for up to seven business days during the normal two-week payroll processing cycle (A.R.S.§ 23-351).
