Purpose
Requires the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) and the Department of Child Safety (DCS) to continue to prepare and issue a quarterly financial and program accountability trends report through December 31, 2020.
Background
Laws 2016, Chapter 273 § 1 requires that AHCCCS and DCS prepare and issue a quarterly financial and program accountability trends report through December 31, 2018. This report is given to the Governor, the chairpersons of the House of Representatives Health and Children and Family Affairs Committee, the chairperson of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee, the Director of the Joint Legislative Budget Committee and the Director of the Governor's Office of Strategic Planning and Budgeting.
There is no anticipated fiscal impact to the state General Fund associated with this legislation.
Provisions
1. Continues to require AHCCCS to prepare and issue a quarterly financial and program accountability trends report through December 31, 2020.
2. Continues to require DCS to prepare and issue a quarterly financial and program accountability trends report through December 31, 2020.
3. Becomes effective on the general effective date.
