AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
Adds the
following entities that are exempt from a prohibition against mandating fire
sprinklers:
1) any municipality or county prior to November 15, 2017, requiring
all new single-family residences to have a fire sprinkler system;
2) any ordinance requiring fire sprinklers in residences
that are 5,000 square feet or more; and
3) any ordinance requiring fire sprinklers in structured
sober living homes.
