AMENDMENT EXPLANATION
1.
Adds
a qualifying factor for causing serious injury by use of a vehicle or causing
death by use of a vehicle for a person whose driver license is suspended
for noncompliance with the proof of future financial responsibility requirement
following a driving under the influence (DUI) violation.
2.
Classifies
the penalty for causing death by use of a vehicle as a class 3 felony if
the driver’s driver license was suspended for a DUI violation or for
noncompliance with the proof of future financial responsibility requirement
following a DUI violation.
3.
Makes
conforming changes.
