AN ACT

 

amending title 38, chapter 3, article 8.1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 38-520; relating to standards of conduct for members of the state legislature.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 38, chapter 3, article 8.1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 38-520, to read:

START_STATUTE38-520.  Member of the legislature; sexual harassment; investigation; photographs

If a member of the legislature is involved in an investigation of a sexual harassment claim that includes photographs of a sexual nature of a member or staff person:

1.  The explicit content of the photograph must be redacted.

2.  The privacy of the member or staff person shall be protected and the viewing of the photographs shall be limited to the independent investigating attorney or other independent investigator of the sexual harassment claim.

3.  A staff person or member with whom the person in the photograph comes in contact at the legislature may not view the unredacted photograph. END_STATUTE
