AN ACT

 

amending Title 15, chapter 2, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 15-213.05; relating to the state board of EDUCATION.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 15, chapter 2, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 15-213.05, to read:

START_STATUTE15-213.05.  School district procurement; charter school procurement; rules; uniform system of financial records

A.  NOTWITHSTANDING any other law, Beginning in the 2019‑2020 school year, school districts are subject to the same procurement laws and procedures that apply to charter schools.

B.  On or before July 1, 2021, The state board of education shall modify its rules adopted pursuant to section 15‑213 and the auditor general shall modify the uniform system of financial records to comply with subsection A of this section.  END_STATUTE

Sec. 2.  Conforming legislation

The legislative council staff shall prepare proposed legislation conforming the Arizona Revised Statutes to the provisions of this act for consideration in the fifty‑fourth legislature, second regular session.
